Yesterday was possibly the best day of my life, and I’m not kidding.

We drove 100 miles yesterday to pick up our new 376FL and I absolutely could not be happier. I was worried about the rear drop frame dragging and I was worried about the 10 year old pickup handling it and worried about fuel economy and worried about not being about to open it in my driveway and worried about my 30 amp hookup at the house being too little and worried about it being to cold to use in the winter and about it maybe being a piece of crap, and about things not working and not having enough for my gigantic family of six and like 10 other things. But 100 miles later she’s in the driveway, with absolutely no problems pulling or working or fitting.

This is the best money I’ve ever spent. I’ve never spent this much money without having an ounce of regret. I feel like the other shoe has to drop. But it hasn’t yet. This thing is absolutely my dream purchase since I was 9. 35 years later it happens. And I only feel like I can say that to this forum because it would just come off as bragging to everyone else I know.

My 2011 F350 certainly notices it compared to the 9000 lb. Laredo we traded in. I got 11 MPG going 65 MPH on the way there. On the way back headed into a west wind she dropped to 7 MPG at 60 MPH but once I got to a crosswind I was getting 10 at 64 MPH which is way better than I guessed.

Let’s go!

Coat rack?

I guess I do have the smallest of complaints. Any advice on how to get a coat rack in here? Took about 5 seconds to find there isn’t one. Anyone ever hang one on a wall with either tape or drywall screws?

My wife bought on that hangs on our bedroom door, you should be careful putting screws in the walls as you could hit electrical wiring. Also command strip are your friend.

I put coat hooks in the hall to the bedroom. I think they are the 3M that just stick to the wall and have been solid for 2-3 years. I only hang hats and light jackets on them tho.

Welcome aboard Cody! You have a great unit and hope you enjoy your unit as much a we enjoy our even though ours is now 8 years old. LOL
Since you are from Grimes, IA you might want to consider joining us at the MOC Central Plains Regional Rally to be held in Nebraska City, NE at Victorian Acres RV Park in July this coming year. You can go to the Regional Camping Club section here on the Forum and check it out for registering for it. It is a smaller regional rally but we like it that way because everyone gets to know everyone and we have a lot of fun socializing and touring area tourist attractions.
If you have any questions concerning your unit ask away and you'll get answers from the Montana experts-- actual Montana owners.
Take care and if you need info on the Central Plains Rally just PM me and I'll answer them also.
Again welcome aboard and enjoy that new Montana!

Welcome aboard! There's just something about the smell of "new". I'm curious, did it come with Sailun Tires?

Congratulations!! Looks beautiful

While you are talking about clothes hooks,
Reinforce the bedroom closet rod. I put a 3/4" steel pipe through it and new rod holders.

That certainly sounds pretty cool, thanks for the suggestion.. We are mapping out the year and will put that down as a candidate trip.

We are going to go to Texas soon if we draw some good weather. Port Aransas is the destination but will spend a few nights in Dallas area in an outdoors setting hopefully getting to see some family.

Sounds great. I want to plan a trip to Texas also. Escape California for a bit.

Dang I just saw this, and I just dropped the camper off at storage. I'll be back there in a couple weeks and will check the tire brand that's on it and get back to you. But that does sound familiar.

No problem, there's just a lot of concern over OEM tires. Many have failed over the years and caused expensive damage that isn't covered under any OEM warranty. Some of the newer rigs are coming with Sailun tires, which is a good thing. If that's what you have then you're off to a good start. If not then please let us know what brand you've got to get some feedback on reliability.

You asked about the tires on my new rig. Well, they are not the Sailun. Towmax Power Max. My guess is these would qualify as China Bombs lol? Good news is my TPMS system is supposed to arrive today. I did make it 100 miles on these babies already. So that’s something I suppose. I guess I’ll start playing poker and make a call on if I’ll ride these cards for a while or put some more in the pot. At least I can cheat a little with TPMS. (I’ve had two 5th wheel blowouts in my days, and I don’t want to mess this giant rig up like I did the smaller ones).

I've never heard of Power King or Tow Max, maybe someone here has something to report. For me, moving to the Sailuns was cheap insurance. The cost of all new tires was far less than the potential damage caused by a single blow out. It's possible the your TPMS wouldn't warn you if it just blew without warning.

Of course there's not guarantee with any tire than it will never fail but a good reputation helps.

Who knows how long you can go on those? Maybe you can get the full 4 years out of them. Or...
