Montana 3740FK in Montana

Got I nice deal for a new 3740FK. Picked up a couple weeks ago. Not new to 5rs. Have a 2007 42 foot North American Industries Drifter toy hauler. We use the trailer for AKC dog shows and for AKC/HTC Hunt tests (Chesapeake Bay retrievers).

Tow with a baby Freightliner (FL70 with a Cat motor). A must for the inter-mountain states. Bigger breaks and exhaust braking is a must. Trailer Saver TSLB air ride hitch. Love the combo.

Only issue we had was they could not install the Gen Prep package due to parts. Did it myself. Onan 5500LP with the correct keystone base and Onan remote switch.

have not used it yet as we are still in lockdown in Montana...

Congrats on your new purchase. If your new camper is at your home, why not power it up and see how the new genny works? If it's in storage ... oh, I feel your pain!

Congrats on the new "camper".

Already tested the Genset and the transfer switch. All good. I did have a 'slap the head moment' though. When checking the AC output on the Onan, I forgot to switch from DC to AC current on the voltage meter, so I was getting really bad numbers. Once I fixed the problem (have a beer) all was working as designed.
