Got our money's worth tonight!

We were sitting down to dinner when the storm warning went off on my cell phone. Went outside and it wasn't just a severe storm, there was a tornado approaching from the southwest and almost on the ground. Got on the phone with the National Weather service, I'm a spotter for them, and as we were talking and they were activating the warning it raised back up and the entire cloud went overhead rotating about a full rotation a minute. At that point it was a good idea for me to join Joyce and the neighbors in our storm shelter so the Weather service was on their own after that. Just this one evening made the money for that shelter a good expense.

Couple of great pictures on the Topeka TV at 10pm. Luckily it seems it touched down on a field just out of town and went right back up with no damage.

Yea, got one of those things in the garage. Been it twice this spring. However, since being raised in this country, just a normal thing to hear the sirens every now and then.

Yep, I'll take the snowstorms any day over the threat you in the midwest have to endure. Glad you're safe.

Wow, glad everyone is safe. At least we don't have to worry about this sort of weather during our winters in Arizona #128526;
