I am realy impressed with how the site looks, now I can understand why it was having problems. This site has a new face and I think she is Beautiful, Not saying the other face was not.... But.

Yes... I also have noticed the new changes. Very nice. Love this new "Quick Reply" box at the bottom of the pages.

Yes the new format is awesome but will take some time to get used too. Thank you for taking the time to make this just an even better site!  I love that the smiles are off on the side now because it was hard to use them before.

Just got back online and noticed the changes right away. I agree, it looks great!
But where did the Private Messages go? I got a couple of emails while we were in places with email access only that I have a private message but now I can't find them!
Also, I have to figure out just how / when to use the quick reply box. Is this same as 'reply to topic'?

We think the changes are fine and we, too, like the quick reply thingy. Anything new takes some getting used to and we will all get the hang of it in time. Ditto for us on the private messages. We miss that aspect as we had made some really great new friends and liked that feature.
Is is coming back? Soon?

Oh, my. I wonder what it was just before our month-long hiatus.. I'm trying to cut down on the posts but it doesn't look like I'm doing it very well!
I'm having a little trouble, too, retraining myself to use the quick reply. It's a nice feature but by habit I keep hitting the reply button. Old dog, new tricks, you know. I'll get it right eventually!

Steve,
The Quick reply is great for short stuff, and if you have memorized the smiley face hard code.
If a longer reply or ya want to use more of the smiley faces, I think the reply button is better.
Just my 2 cents worth, (with inflation can I make that 4 cents worth?)

Private Messages will be back eventually. ForumCo has their hands full right now trying to get the bugs out of the new web-servers and changing all their accounts to the new software.
In the meantime the e-mail feature is different and you can e-mail someone right from this Forum yet it doesn't display their actual e-mail address. Very close to Private Messages. Hope this helps?

It is super fast isn't it? This page loaded for me in .31 seconds...imagine that a faction of a second! I do have a cable modem but regardless that is really going to help any of us with any modem.
