Extended pin box

I just hooked up my 5ver to check out the fit for my new 2011 Chevy dually and on uneven ground at about 70-80 degrees the bottom of my pin box will hit the top my truck box side rails-I have an 8 foot bed. My Mor/ryde pin box is a match to a lippert 1716 extended pin box. Anyone had this problem since the new Montana's use the same Mor/ryde pin box? My companion hitch is all the way up and my pin box is in the lowest position to get the clearance I need for the 5ver to the the truck rails-7". I think I am going to have to order a standard pin box from Mor/ryde which is 6" shorter. Has anyone used one of these on a new Chevy? If yes how is the clearance? It seems to me the pin box will be inside the bed even when in a 90. Thanks for your input. I had no problem with my F250. I think Chevy raised the rail height. Thanks for your input.

Steve, if your Monty is out of warrantee, you can shave a little off the rear corners of the pin box, if not you can just be very very careful till you are. Numerous members have already done that. There is an empty bolt hole all the way back there, so just trim at an angle thru that bolt hole and should give you enough clearance.
