I just got a system from Hawkshead. It has a small control/indicator unit about the size of thick business card. The system can handle up to 22 tires and senses and displays pressure and temperature. They have their roots in supplying racing cars.

For a base system cost of $225 U.S. you get the control unit, 4 sensors, and 4 stubby metal valve stems. Additional sensors are $40. One neat feature is replaceable batteries. Some other systems require replacement of entire sensor when battery dies. Additional sensors are $40.

I've installed just the base with 4 sensors for now (trailer only) and it is working great so far. I'll get more sensors as budget permits.

My TST came finally yesterday. Installed and ready to go. I see why steel valve stems are required. Wow, those sensors are bigger than a Buick. It's going to be nice and some good piece of mind. What settings for low pressure and high temp?
