Awning in or out?
I keep my camper stored inside. Is it a good idea to leave the awning extended? or is rolled up the way to go?

Mine stays rolled up 90% of its life. Only time it's out is when camping and the wind isn't howling ( that happens alot in Kansas). Occasionally if it rains quite a bit, I'll roll it out afterwards to let it dry out between wraps and ward off mildew.

I think 99% of the time in storage the awning is rolled up unless you are working on it. If I stored my RV indoors I would keep it rolled up 100%. As long as the fabric and rollers are VERY dry you should have nothing to worry about.
I store my RV outdoors and after each rain, I will extend the awning to dry it out. If water can find a way to get in the awning, it somehow does. I am pretty sure you won't have this problem.

I have mine stored inside and leave the awning rolled up. As Art said, I make sure it's DRY before I put the rig away.

My 3400 RLS is stored outside with the awning rolled in. After a rain or wet time I put it out so that it will dry. It's amazing that moisture can get in there while it's rolled up.

I leave ours rolled up all the time when it’s parked here at the house. I would have to move the Monty to open it where I park it. The down side is that I can’t air it out as often as I would like to so I have to fight with mildew sometimes.
