10 Elk cross the rd in ft of us
Well here we are in waynesville ,nc and went to see the elk and there they were rt in our path on the rd 10 elk 1 young male , 2 babies and 7 females , but they were heading for the 2 big males across the rd in the woods this was great , they are a beautifel beast, they are huge at only 30 " away in the wild .. we stood and watched for 25 min to cross as they were coming out of the woods 1 at a time ,,, sailer

How neat to see this. I thought you were going to say you're in Colorado. I know they are prolific there. I'm sure it was a wonderful site.

Thats some good stuff. As a Life Member of the RMEF it pleasures me to see the good that they do. I've spent many many hours in the field watching elk and every time is a new and great adventure. Enjoy

I mite ask tom41 to post them as he is here in this park and knows how to post them better ,, as he lays in his nice warm bed and asks his wife to get up to turn on the heat ,, now thats a real man , i figured he had remote to his furnace by now but no she has to turn on the heat ,,, sailer

Elk are one of the most graceful animals around and are always an exciting site to see! In respect to tom41- I'd say he does have a remote for the furnace-- it's called a D/W special!
