Got a QUESTION?????

I have a question or am I imagineing things. If you look at the Mountain decal on the Montana 5er's, can you tell what year it is?? I am thinking that you can and if I am visiting with someone about their Montana, I always ask what year it is. It is sometimes hard to tell how different the mountain scene is unless the campers are close to each other or side by side. Anyone ever thought about this???..JB

You can usually tell the different years by the Mountain decal and the color used on the coach. If your neighbor is not home, you could always run over and take a look at the GVWR sticker on the front left corner of the coach. It will have the year, model, and weight specs...

Unless it is Al and Carol's coach. Their sticker has no year posted on it.

Jack, besides the difference in the mountains and sun and colors, the first Montanas had a stripe also. Asking seems a good way to start a conversation though.
Happy trails........................

Little Montana on one side of front end and stripes on the side through 2002. Big Montana on top of nose with little mountains below is 2003. Big Montana on top with big mountains below is 2004. There may be some overlap in late 2003 models. Big Montana in middle of mountains is 2005. I am not sure about 2006. Some 2006 have the new front end and new color. 2007 has those too. I am not sure about 2000 and 1999. I think the front end is not gelcoat on 1999.

We have the big Montana in the middle of the mountains and our unit is an early 2004, built in Sept. 2003.I know they overlapped some of the years so don't always go by the decals.

Great link Glen. It was really good looking at the different nose caps. We some of them all up and down the interstate. Test positive to the Monty's durability.
