Looking at 3600RE
We are looking at a replacement for our 3295 and are looking at the 3600RE. Any input would be helpful to us as we consider.

Karl & Carol,
Haven't seen that one, yet.
It's a Monty, now that I look at the Options pages. But the floorplan is not on-line, or in the literature that they provide at dealers.
Is it like another model that is on line?

The 3600RE is "similar" to the 344RET that Mountaineer has
http://keystone-mountaineer.com/inde...4RET&year=2006
But the kitchen comes around in a "peninsula" like the 3295, and the shower and sink on the entry side with the toilet on the opposite side.
The living/entertainment/dining area are like the Mountaineer plan.

Karl,
Sounds wonderful! I like the entertainment center placement. Also the amount of counter space that design affords.
Now we'll have to take another trip to Panama City, just to see that one!

Thanks, Native
We did look at the 3400RL, the 3600RE is just about the same from the kitchen to the bedroom, but the slideout for the two recliners is quite a bit wider than the width of the rear living room, and of course we like the entertainment center all across the back. We lose the big back windows, but the 3600 does have a large picture window on the opposing slides of the living area.

We saw that model at the RV show in our area. I was wondering what the model number was. I really like the entertainment center across the back. The way the counter wraps, it kinda makes the living room area a seperate area.

I really like the new 3600RE, but be aware of the carrying capacity. It is the smallest in the Montana fleet.

We've seen the 3600RE and liked it. Check it out thoroughly, and if that particular model will fit your needs, by all means go for it. Enjoy the shopping process and safe travels.

I was at the Keystone web site just a few minutes ago, looking for the 3600 RE floorplan as I had seen pictures at the web site for Camper City in Buford, Ga. and wanted to see more details. The floorplan was there.

Spooky!
Keystone sure does pay attention to this forum!
It wasn't there at that time.
Thanks,
Steve

The one I saw had a little bit darker wood. Or the lighting was bad in it. There had to be 12 people inside looking at it at the time. Very nice layout.

OK!
I'd like a second A/C, to appear over the bedroom, without a trip to CW, or the expense, and for it to be cooler than 80 degrees inside this Monty.
I'm learning why we probably won't be moving quite this far south whenever we plan to settle. It's been brushing 100 degrees for over a week, now. Sheesh!
So...When can I expect that second A/C?

We saw the 3600RE earlier this week. Beautiful. We really liked it. But, like Montana Sky mentioned, the carrying capacity in the brochure is listed at just 1875 pou That's probably fine for weekending and vacationing but if you plan on living in it for extended time that might be a problem.
One thing I do not understand but hope to be able to find out one of these days is why the big difference in carrying capacity between models. I'm studying the numbers in the brochure and finding some interesting things. If I figure anything out I'll post a new topic. Meanwhile, if anyone has an idea why the difference in carrying capacity, please post it.

We too checked out the 3600RE last week and liked it; the living area appeared to both of us to be a variation on the 3400RL, with more significant modifications in the bedroom area.

Hi we are new to this forum signed up in January but health kept me away for a while. my Wife and I purchased a 2006 Montana 3600RE and love it. Only had a couple of short trips hope to take some long trips soon and really get to know it better. Had it back at the dealer for some miner things and one major item, roof torn behind the front cap but had it back in a week from the dealer. Dealer really did a great job on repairs! We had a Layton 25 ft 5er which we gave to our Daughter and Family so they can get out and do some camping with us. After looking at many other manufactures the Montana to us was the most impressive for what we wanted, hope to retire in a few years and start traveling a lot more.
