LED high hat light cover removal

How the heck do the high hat light covers come off? I have construction sawdust in the cover. I tried to pop it off with a screw driver but it appeared to be pulling down the whole high hat. It looks like the cover and high hat is screwed together.

Hi, if they are anything like commercial recessed lights, they have 2 wires that spring tension holds them up, just pull down on both sides. Good luck.

done it many times the lens themselves just twist off , counter clockways put your palm of your hand on them then push up then twist sometimes they are tough to twist ,you do not have to take the whole light out but you can like OZ said there are spring loaded clips

Twist off mine twist off pretty easy. Access to the lens was easy and cleaning a snap ours had a ton of sawdust also so I did all of them at the same time.

Twist off as indicated (lens), but can be very tight. Have not tried to remove the fixture itself yet.
