Wash -- rain
There has been a real dry spell here in central Texas. Drought conditions have prevailed for the last 8-10 years. The storms that bring others severe weather and even tornadoes pass us by without leaving a drop. Rain has been in the forecast for 2-3 days, but none here.
Now I am part Indian, so I decided on my rain dance. My dance is to wash my truck. I did it today. Just as I was about to finish wiping down the dash and instrument panel, the rain unloaded on me. My neighbors are very happy. I am happy. Maybe I should dance more often.

Ouch on the hail. However, Stiles, you may find that if you wash and wax my truck and Montana you'd get several days' worth of rain, not just a single little storm.

Hey, Stiles, send some of that wet stuff towards Houston. We had a monsoon today. It sprinkled for at least 37 seconds.

There was hail damage to my truck. About 9 or more definite dimples in the hood.

Sorry for the hail damage but you have proven that washing your truck is the best rain dance of all. Works almost every time.

Ouch on the hail, Stiles.
I wish I had the power to send you some the rain we are having in Pennsylvania to Texas. The fires have been awful. I mowed the lawn for the first time yesterday and it was a mud bath. We had VERY hard rain the last two nights and more tonight. On my way to work today, I saw a very unusual sight. Off in the distance in a field, animals were lining up two by two. Does that have any significance?

Stiles,
You are so smart. You now how to do that car-washy-rainy-dance.
Since I live in Texas City, TX (if you have seen the news) my SOB has been in the driveway a few days while I too care of some things. The amount of hydrocarbons that were released were unmeasurable on any of the local atmosphere monitors we have around the cite. Let me say - it stunk. But more is the fact that it most likely settled on the SOB, so now I have to send Earlene up on the roof to wash it, then I'll take care of the sides.
That should really make it rain here.

I also have Indian heritage, have washed everything on the place, trucks, tractors, trailers, motorcycle, you name it, still no rain, recon what I am doing wrong ? If we don't have rain soon, there will be no hay this year to cut and bail. Glad you all got some wet stuff. Sorry about the dings in your new ride. Dog gonnit.

I was born on the Reservation and am American Indian. I remember as a kid the old folks saying that a Rain Dance works every time if you time it correctly, just as the first drops start to fall.
