Your exactly right Lynwood, I thought Ford put the second small turbo on the 6.4 to solve the turbo spin up lag of only one large turbo. I think the service writer is full of bull. I bought this truck new and have driven it myself since it was new and it has not always had the hesitation on take off that it now has. It is really pronounced when you are taking off on a slight up hill. I plan on going back to the dealership and discussing this in detail when I get a little time. I guess service writers just throw out any reason at all when they don't know what the problem really is, and some customers actually buy their line of bull.

I think it will be easy it tell when your dealer is either lying or doesn't know what he is talking about, his lips will be moving.

Here is an article quoting a 2007 Ford press release. It pretty much says what we are all saying about the reason for the two turbos on the 6.4. Maybe I need to send this to my dealer so they can learn what the two turbos are there for.

Is your talpipe black with soot???? Ask you dealer if they have heard of TSB 09-19-10.
Had this done at the dealer yesterday,so far also getting 20% increase in milage, from 10.2 up to 12.2mpg. Don't know what else they did but happy.
