Flying J and VISA
Just got a news letter from Escapees stating that Flying J and VISA have settled their differences as as to allow the use of the VISA card at the truck pumps. Flying J is also setting up a system to override the $75 limit on a single purchase. I use Discover and Amex, so it doesn't apply to me, but may help others.

I'm glad that they are changing the limit for fuel purchases. It just holds the line up when you have to stop and start over each fill up.

I just fueled up at a Flying J in Post Falls Id.. They took my Visa card, but still had the $75 limit on it. Had to use it twice. I had no problems

Now if they will just process their charges the same or next day we are going ot be all good. I hate waiting a week for my fuel charges to hit the bank account. The only station this happens at is the Flying J but it doesn't stop me from trading with them. I am all about saving 3 cents a gallon when filling up.

The Flying J in Albuquerque no longer gives the discount for the Flying J card. Is that true of all Flying J's or just that one?

We didn't get the discount at Thousand Palms, CA Flying J either. I think they have discontinued it. At least those are my thoughts having dealt with only the one Flying J since January 7th.

Steve, i had heard that before about not getting a discount with the Fly J Card, but today i filled up at a Fly J and got the discount with the card. Maybe it depends on which State your buying in,

Flying Js new policy is to spend at least 10.00 a month inside eating and buying their products to get the 1 cent deduction for diesel and 3 cents for gasoline. Its on a sliding scale, the more you purchase inside, the more discount you get at the pumps. And yes, their new cards are labeled RV real value member cards. I used visa yesterday here in VA and it took my card.
