One dislike. Bathroom is too small or maybe I am too big . Take a seat and see if you can live with that full time. If you are going to be in hot climates get the front A/C. We dont and will be adding soon. Gets a little warm for me in the bedroom at night. Have to keep the fan on medium to keep cool in-between A/C cycles. Otherwise everything else is good.

mtpocket - don't stay in the bathroom full time, come out every once in a while and stretch your legs!

The 3400 bathroom is small for two reasons - only one is excusable.

1. (Here comes the logical reason...) The room size had to be slightly squeezed in order to make room for the front closet and the w/d - Ariston stackables in our case. I gladly give up a little room for this enormous benefit to us fulltimers.

2. (The inexcusable reason...) The engineers lost their brains when they didn't take into account that they already had a small space and they WASTED four inches at the rear of the toilet that they should have utilized with very little additional (if any at all) effort.

Hemlockusa (John) just moved his toilet back on his own. His recent thread under "Additions & Improvements" (MOVED THE TOILET) is a great "how to" on this issue. As soon as my frustration level overtakes my procrastination level, I'll probably tackle this project. Not close yet, though, and I am 6'2" and 248#.

We just bought our new 07 3400RL in March.. We LOVE it. It took us 3 other 5th wheels to get it right. I wouldn't trade this one for anything. The 3400 is OUR perfect camper..

Staying with the thread's actual topic, I would like to say that Cheryl and I moved into this 3400RL right out of the factory on July 20, 2006. We have a little over a year in it full time. We absolutely love this unit - and this lifestyle.

We are sitting in a CG with no neighbors right now. I am on the MOC forum and Cheryl is watching an HDTV program on our 32" LCD TV. Our fireplace is on low due to the outdoor temp of 52 degrees. We just finished a bowl of highly buttered popcorn. I look around this spacious living room and I wonder why we would ever want a house.

The counter space in the 3400 is second to none. I love the fact that our home is mobile. We just got back from a weekend trip. We travel and still sleep in our own comfy bed every night.

Our 3400RL would only be traded for a Big Sky 340RLQ and the 12 cu ft fridge option...

When we bought our 05 this last June and set it up on Eagle Creek in N Idaho for the summer, this is all dry camp, use generator and solar, then in winter we go to Dolan Springs, AZ where we have property, this is our 2nd MT and our 4th 5th Wheel and the last, as the saying goes should have bought the 4th trailer 1st

We feel in love with the 3400 in 2004 and ended up buying a used 31.5 ft New Vision. Hubby used it for a year and a half for business. We now own a 3400RL that we use for pleasure and business. I could live in it full time if I didn't have so much stuff that I just can't part with. We love our 3400 and don't plan changing floor plans when and if we trade in for a new one.

Dave, I hope you sent your suggestion to Keystone about the toilet. I just leave the door open when I am in the library

We also leave the door open, Colleen. Gives one much more room. We just close the bedroom door. I did not send that suggestion in as it has been discussed off and on over the past 2 years I have been on the MOC forum. I assumed that someone had already brought this error to Keystone's attention. Maybe not? The Factory Tour during the Rally would be an ideal time to bring it up - along with any other concerns. We did this last year and we had Aram's personal ear for that session.

Campers are not built for tall people. There is a advantage to being on the small side..there is much more room in the camper. We longtime and the ONLY thing that I wish was different is the fridge..it is to small..we are going as far as to ask the folks at Keystone when at the rally if the kitchen slide can be replaced with a big sky slide and not incur the national debt in doing so???

At least I can reach that top shelf, Rich

Rich, I asked that very question and a dealership told me that they were NOT interchangeable. Cheryl first brought this up when I mentioned that the 3400RL and the 340RLQ were pretty much identical size slides and that it would be nice if just the kitchen slide with that big fridge could be ordered and installed - probably at the service center in Goshen...

Sounds like a question for Aram...

Only problem is the cherry trim in the 340RLQ vs the oak trim in our 3400. A minor inconvenience, though... And then there is that problem with the hi gloss gel coat on the 340RLQ (my 3400 does not have that) and the decals on the side would not match up. Still not enough to discourage Cheryl, though. Love that 12 cu ft Fridge option (w/ ice maker)!

We are having trouble with our kitchen slide anyway. Think Aram might be in a good mood during the factory tour???

Dave,
Just trade that 3400RL in for a new Big Sky. Maybe if we go in together we can get a fleet rate discount... LOL!

PS~ What problems are you having with your kitchen slide??

Dave, don't give any more encouragement to my wife! We've only had this rig for one year, and she is drooling over the Big Sky...

Rich, I would be a test bed if it was guaranteed. Not real crazy about being a Guinea Pig. I see you don't have that inhibition, though... Although I realize some of those instances were not voluntary.

We are fulltimers with the 3400Rl and love it. But we loved our 3295RK, also, and we also fulltimed in it. If the floorplan suits you and the storage is adequate, then you'll be fine whichever model you go with.
