Bedcover for TV

I am trying to find a bedcover for the tow vehicle, but also want to have easy access to the 5er hitch and be able to butt up to the tool box. Lockable would be nice too, but not sure that is possible.

My truck is a SWB. Any ideas

Thanks.

Peace!

This is what I had installed on my truck. But, I dont have a tool box in the back. I am in the market for a tool box that will fit under it.

Come to think of it Robbie, I'm pretty sure I was no help what so ever in this post.

Look into an "Access" cover, I had one on my former truck for 5 years with no problem, and will likely get one for my new truck. I think they make a version to fit up to a tool box.

James,
Actually you did answer a question I had about the retractable covers (does it fit over the hitch?).

But electric? That is way too classy for my regular Ford. I guess if I had a Navigator F350 or even a King Ranch I would consider it

I'm glad I was able to be some form of entertainment

Yes Brad, The retractable fits over the hitch. With out a hitch !!! Pa-Du-pump !! (bad joke sorry)

Electric is the only way to go. (until it breaks)

OntMont,
I googled this one:
http://tinyurl.com/lxgca

It looks real nice, kinda pricey for 4-1/2 feet, but looks like it could do a real nice job. Did you have any problems with yours and were they easily resolved....I guess you answered the question if you are planning to buy another one.

James, take a look at this one!

Thanks for your help everyone.

Peace!

I'm looking for an simple, inexpensive way to cover the bed of a 2007 long bed Ford just to keep it clean of leaves and debris during the fall and winter when I will not be towing anything and will seldom be putting anything in the bed. NO need for a lock, much less for an electrically operated bed cover. LOL!!!

Any suggestions as to what to go for and/or where to look?

Robbie: I have the Pace, not electric, cover on my truck. When I am towing I can pull the cover out to just before the hitch and store things under the cover. I don't have a tool box in my truck so I don't know if it will fit over one or not. The cover will go over the 5'er hitch though so that will give you an indication of how high anything in the bed can be. I just put additional holes in the side of the cover track to position any stops I want other than the ones the manufacturer had put in.

If you can't play a sport....Be one.

David, Camping World, Cabela's, a shop locally that deals in big boys' toys, google the internet. You should find the information you need on bed covers. The rally will also be a good place to see what others have.

You will be happy with the Access cover. I have had them on 2 trucks and the most recent one I tried a Truxedo cover which is very similar to the Access ones. Great for keeping everything dry when unhooked and gives you a secure place to haul a couple of chairs when making day trips to sporting events and other outdoors things where a chair comes in handy.

Ron,

I did see one earlier on a truck at a gas station and the owner was real pleased with it, I just needed someone else to confirm what I already thought was going to be the best for my needs.

Ok, so how do I convince Alice?

Maybe I could keep some of her valuable stuff in the back of the truck...

Thanks,

Peace!

I use a bed cover by truck covers USA. the cover is powder coated and strong enough to stand on and waterproof. Pace Edwards makes one like it but not the quality. The cover rolls back and is lockable. My hitch stays in the truck and the cover goes over it nicely. I turned the hitch realease handle down a litte for easier operation of the top. I had mine installed almost 2 years ago and never regretted it. Retail price around $1300.
