Morryde stairs hand rail

Hello, newbie here.

Just getting our brand new 2022 3121RL outfitted for our next trip.
Very interested in adding a hand rail to the Morryde four step entry stairs.
Amazon has them but some reviews say they interfere with the lower
cabinet just inside the door, and thus cannot stay on the stairs when they
are in the stowed position. The reviewers were not specific as to the model
of their RVs, unfortunately.

Has anyone here used the add on handrails on these steps, with this
floorplan?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Mark

If the hand rail that you add to the step doesn’t work you can always change out the folding handle on the door for this rail

I have this on my rig works fine

We bought the handrail accessory for the steps but it would hit the base cabinet just inside the door (red X on the screen shot) when you brought the steps into travel position so we returned it.

The accessory hand rail for the 4-step MorRyde unit on our 331RL fit nicely with no interference.

Thanks for all the replies! Wow that was fast.

The floorplan of your rig is different than ours, but, the issue is the same.
A lower cabinet right in the path of the rail.

We may just go with the first suggestion, above. I have seen those on other
rigs, and it certainly would improve our situation.

At least until we can get our hands on one of these ( that my wife found after a google search, but is apparently not yet ready for the marketplace ):

Mark, I do not believe you will have an issue with the 3121 with the hand rail. We love ours on the 3230CK. We got ours at last year’s IS install before rally. As I recall on the 3121, the refrigerator is straight across from the stairs. Best of luck.

Thanks for all the replies, that was fast!

The first suggestion is a good one. We have seen that design on other
Rvs, and it appears we can simply swap it for the one we have.

The Morryde rail will likely hit the base cabinet across the 'hallway.'
In the floorplan it is labeled 'coffee station.'

We will probably get the larger folding handrail for now. Ultimately
though, my wife found an even better solution that might be available
in the future.

Morryde is developing this:

Apparently not available for sale yet.

Thanks again for all the replies!

m46opie, I would contact MOR/Ryde, because in July they were selling and installing that Hand Rail at our SOB Rally in Shipshewana.

Stair handle

We have the same model as you and added the stair handle on our 2021 3121RL. It does NOT interfere with anything. Works great and we love it. Makes it so much easier to get in and out of rig. We have had it over a year and we also added the carpet on stairs which make a big difference also. Hope this helps. BTW we live in ours full time and the rail was a definite bonus

OP back again,

Well, to close out this thread, and help any future folks that search for this
information.....it works.

After thinking about it, we decided that even if we had to install and then
remove the rail at each campsite, it was still worth having. Again, this is for
our 2022 Montana 3121RL.

As it happens ( and as another poster noted above ) the handrail does
NOT interfere with the lower cabinet as we had feared. It arrived today and
took only a few minutes to install and check out.

A great upgrade. Highly recommended.

Thanks for all the replies, one and all.
