5th airborne king pin
I am thinking of buying a new king pin. Has anyone used the 5th airborne king pin box? Is it worth the money? Does it help stop the jerking in the truck?

We have the 5th Airborne pin and, to us, it is well worth the money. It takes most of the "rock and roll" that we had away and we now have a much smoother ride.

We had the 5th Airborne on our last rig. Now we have the Trailair. Both have helped provide a smoother ride, but we prefer the 5th Airborne. The best price I found was at PPL RV.

I towed for a year with the original pin box. Then last July put a fifth airborne pin box on. Worth every penny to me. Did not totally eliminate the chucking, but what is left is barely noticeable.

I love mine, went with the original for about a year and then changed. Well worth the money. A freind of mine with a Trailair just switch to the 5th airborne, the pin on the Trailair bent and had a habit of opening his hitch, while in route.

I made the move over a year ago and am impressed with it.

Going on my 3rd year with trailair and would do it again on next purchase in a heart beat. Worth every penny. I have looked at 5th Airborne and would go with which ever one I could get the best price on.

We bought one this last summer and it has my DW seal of approval. I bought it off Tweety's for $683.00 including delivery. I installed it with help from a friend and from start to finish about 1 hour.

Thanks for the info. It looks like I just got my Christmas present.
