remote thermostatic

talk to my dealer and keystone and they are going to do a upgrade to my remote thermostatic . i was wondering if thats they have done for all the other owners that was have problems with there units.i was understanding that they replaced the remote with a wall thermostatic. darrell

Many of us have had this change made. If you do a search, you will find pages and pages of info on this topic. Main things to remember are:

1. Only replacement is the Dometic Comfort Control Center.
2. To make this change you also need to change the main circuit board in the air conditioner.

Who at Keystone did you contact to get this done? Our friend has an 06 3400 with remote which she has tried for a long time to get working. It is a diaster She called Keystone and said they no history of problems with the remote system. She is under the 2 years on the A/c but past the 1 year on the 3400. I don't think she talked to right person.

We also talked to dometic customer service and told them what thermostat that was in the coach. They sent a complete new kit to our dealer and he installed it. Yes it is new thermostat that is mounted to the wall and also came with a new AC board that had to be replaced and a pin that had to be switched on the AC board for the heater to work.

I was not aware that the 06 models had the remote thermostat.. Thought they changed before that???

I changed ours out last year.....the best thing I ever did. We had to have it delivered to our dealer, turn in our old remote, and there was no charge. Pretty easy swap, even the circuit cards was just a snap in and out with a couple of wires. The entire process took less than an hour.
