Greetings from Grand Lake 'o the Cherokees

Set my recently purchased 2011 323RL on a pad and spending around 4-5 days a week of my retirement in it.Did not realize how much there is to know about ownership versus being an RVer.

That is to say after fixing half left done and undone projects, I don' see how you full timers that stay on the move have any leisure time remaining to enjoy life. I can't imagine how stuff gets shaken loose, bent, twisted and just flat out busted after being on the road for several thousand miles.
And that's not to mention the tow vehicle!
But, more power to ya.
As for me, I think I'll keep this one stationary, and plan on renting a Class A

I can fly to and load up for special trips.
Each to his own.
Still trying to figure out the bathroom sink plumbing logic among others.

Welcome to the forums. For most of us, when we purchase our campers, we start out making minor adjustments to fit our specific lifestyles; for example shelves, hooks, creative storage ideas.

After that, it's an ongoing process of making fixes when things break or wear out immediatly as they happen. If items are fixed as they happen, it's not overwhelming at all. However, if a small item is neglected, it doesn't take much time until it becomes a bigger problem and then bigger and bigger. Unfortunately, there are those owners who just use and abuse their campers, let them fall apart, and then wonder why they can't sell them for a good price. When there is a buyer, they are caught with mammoth repairs and yes, it is overwhelming.

In your case, if you keep chiseling away at all the issues, eventually you'll get everything fixed. Then you'll have a good camper.

Welcome to the forum! The bathroom plumbing does have some interesting things going on. From the backflow preventor for the black tank flush to the Hepvo valve that replaces a p trap under the shower it can be an adventure.

Many thanks to all for the kind words. I am looking forward to spending some time here and asking questions and reading solutions from other persons that I've already gone through some of these issues. I did have one that I have not been able to find an answer to. It's my understanding that there is supposed to be a baffle on the exhaust outlet at the hot water tank. There's not one on this unit and the local RV dealer could not find one to order. I guess I could cut one out of some sheet metal and make it work and may end up going that route. Any ideas are appreciated. From here on out I'll post to the relative thread. Thanks again.
