Wingard Rayzar Antenna performance
As I mentioned in a previous post, I bought a Wingard Rayzar Antenna replacement head for my 3402RL. I got around to installing it today. Pretty easy except for having to get on the roof. I'm not a fan of that, but got it done. It installed exactly by the directions. There are several methods. I chose to use the included 16" boom and completely remove the old Sensor antenna.
Because the Rayzar receives signals equally well from the front or back, you really only have to try the original raised position or turn it 90 degrees.
I received stations 65 miles away that I had not been able to receive before. The Rayzar has improved UHF reception compared to the original Sensar antenna. Most all of the new Digital stations around here are UHF.
