Sleep number bed
Has anyone tried to put a sleep number bed with a power base in
We have a 3720 2017 King size. I have found a power base that sets on a flat surface.

We put a Queen Sleep number (two sides) in our 2017 3721. I pulled the plywood off the front of the bed for full access. Installed an electrical outlet in that space. Mounted the air compressor there. drilled two holes for hoses to the air pillows of the sleep number.
REMEMBER to deflate any time you are going over any mountains. Over 500 foot and definitely over 1000 foot elevation change.
I hope this helps.

Our new to us, 2016 3160 RL came with a Sleep Number bed when we purchased it in 2017. The previous owner had replaced the plywood bed platform with a larger piece of plywood and extended the foot to accommodate the larger size of the king size SN bed. He did the same as what you did with your bed to instal the air pump and bed air tubing. We use a SN bed at home and it was an easy transition to the RV 5th wheel bed.
It is true, deflate the mattress before you head to the mountains. We went camping in Kings Canyon National Park last year and I discovered when we arrived at our camp site that the bed was over inflated due to the higher altitude. Now we deflate before we head to the mountains and refill the SN mattress when we arrive.
We have no regrets over having the SN mattress in our 5th wheel.

We put a Sleep Number in our Montana in 2011 and it's been in two other units since. It's the first thing that gets xferred to a new unit and that new mattress goes into our trade.

If by "power base" you refer to the automated frames that incline the head of the mattress, I don't think that would be possible in the trailer unless you totally rework the existing base and have a new platform with multiple rollers underneath it to support the incling base, with the platform inches off the floor. Lots of work... If this is not what you mean, disregard my comment.

We just ran from NJ to SD and back without deflating. sea level to 5,000 feet. Never even thought of it, no issues with the mattress. Did we just get lucky?

Our first Sleep number back in 2008, we traveled thru the rockies, did no damage, however the aid bags did inflate. Got lucky I guess. From them on we deflated, never had any issues. We have Sleep number's in all three bedrooms in out Log House. We put Sleep number in the 2021 Montana 3762BP, and cut down the King to a Queens. Works great for us!
Happy trails.

Aren't Sleep number beds heavy? Can you still lift the plywood to access the storage area?

Not a sleep number fan so we replaced the factory mattress with this from Costco - fantastic mattress!

Is your sleep number bed part of a slide out? I notice on this trip that the wheels on our slide out have collapsed. The only change we have made is replacing the mattress with a memory foam hybrid, its weight is 70lbs. In the storage under the bed with only store toilet paper, paper towels, central vac hose & parts and empty fold down suitcases.
Anyone else have this issue? is it easy to replace the wheels? i believe the sleep number is heavier than our regular mattress so has this affected any others?
Wheels are cheap plastic
