The Sylvania microwave in our 09 3075 poofed in less than 8 months. Call Keystone and request a replacement. They will pay for the return shipping but keep the paperwork to show you returned it. The replacement they sent me had a broken cooling fan shroud but rather than send it back I repaired it myself. So far it is working OK but it will overheat and shut down occasionally (making my DW very unhappy). I believe the new ones are vented to the outside but have not heard if this solves the problem. I intend to try and cut a vent in the enclosure this summer. I installed a fan behind the microwave but it does not prevent the shutdown.

We went through two of the Sylvania microwaves the first summer. With the help of our dealer ( I think they were getting tied of seeing us) got Keystone to replace ours with an Applo 1/2 time. So far we haven't had many more problems.

"got Keystone to replace ours with an Applo 1/2 time. So far we haven't had many more problems.".... It seems like only yesterday that "Appolo 1/2 time" was a dirty word and a chunk of junk... How things turn around. We did have some initial Apolo problems in our 06 3400 but we have now been 3 years trouble free with heavy use on the Apollo oven.

Although we have a SOB unit, we did go through 3 Sylvania microwave in the first year. The first one died on the shake down trip and the second one died on the third week of my second trip. So, to answer your question.....yes, it can definately be a bad microwave already.

The only experience I've ever had with Sylvania is one TV. It broke the first night we brought it home. The replacement didn't work right out of the box. I have not considered Sylvania products since.
