Awning attached to slide out.

I have been thinking about adding an awning to the slide out on our 3295RK. I believe a 10 foot awning could be fitted easily under the slide topper awning already installed. However, The refrigerator vent is midway along this wall. I'm not sure how much heat the refer throws off so am not sure if this is a practical application.

I have been advised to not put a screen room under such an awning because of the potential to capture CO and CO2 gas given off by the refer when powered by gas.. Won't do that.

So, My question-- anybody done or seen such an installation?

no I have not. the only question I would have is what type of stress would that put on the slide? if you had a strong wind placing extra pressure on a spot that wasn't designed to flex in such a way.....wouldn't it possibly effect the slide????
