I have a soft roll-up cover called an "Access Cover". I have found it very satisfactory. Unlike most of the hard covers, it sits up on the sides of the truck bed, rather than set into it, this gives more inside height when the cover is closed to fit over the hitch. Other features are aluminum support rails that roll up with cover, seamless cover that does not leak, and wide Velcro fasteners down the sides. If anyone is interested in a soft cover, take a look at the Access, I think you will be impressed by its features. You can find them on the Internet.

We have a similar unit - the Truxedo. It sits a little above the bed and uses velcro on the side so you could partially cover the bed while towing. When not towing, it covers the hitch nicely.

Put the fold-a-cover on the truck last week. Now I don't get to drive the beasty very much but have been driving over to visit a friend every Sunday just to get some miles on the thing. It is 40 miles out and 40 miles back on the interstate. I am not going to quote any figures because I'm not sure that I beleive what I saw. Does anyone think it possible to gain 2MPG + by the addition of a fold a cover type cover..I did..checked it out..said..no way checked it back and it did it again.. What think you????? run 65MPH at what looks like 2200RPM (4:30) diff. cruise control.
