Sad News

Sad news for us but great news for my mother who passed into the hands of Jesus on Sunday the 3rd of Aug. She was 93. Would have been 94 in Sept. She lived a good long life. The last few weeks were not the best for her. She got really bad on Sat Morning. We were out camping and came into town. She was unresponsive by the time we got there. Received the call at 12:30 AM Sun morning.

Sorry to hear of your loss. It sounds like you have reconciled her passing and that your pain is superseded by hope. I can empathize, having lost my dad at 93. Now 5 years later, I still think of him often, but not in pain, rather in pleasant recollection.

Paul said that for him to die was gain. We as believers live with that confidence. Thanks for sharing and you and your family will be in our prayers. (My mom is also at the "end" of her life) but GOD IS GOOD! He is in control!

It is so hard to lose a parent. I lost my mom at the age of 14. However, I know that she, too, is in the arms of Jesus and in no more pain. What a blessing and comfort to know that. We will be remembering your family during this difficult time.

I lost my mother in 2003. I know what you are feeling at the loss and couldn't agree any more with what has been said about the hope that we have of seeing them again some day. That in itself gives a lot of comfort. I often think of her and miss her a lot.

Thank you all for the words of comfort. We buried Mom today. We got through it okay. We will miss her and never forget her. She was a great Mother.
