Campground in Kerrville Texas

We are camped in the Guadalupe River RV Resort in Kerrville. This is a very nice campground that I would recommend to anyone. Lots of room for those that have the larger rigs. We are parked about 75 yards from the river. The leaves are changing on the trees, ducks in the river, they have a great walking path, free WIFI, heated indoor pool, steam room, jaccuzi. You might want to circle this in your TL directory or your Woodalls book. We stopped by some of the other parks listed in the books and none of them are as nice and spacious as this one is.

They have weekly and monthly rates.

Being a Texas gal you should be aware of Lost Maples State Park at Vanderpool. If not, make a trip over there, only about 50 miles from where you are. First couple of weeks of November is peak for the leaf color. The time we were there the reds were really vivid.

illapah,

I am not sure of the monthly rate, but I will check it out for you and post the amount. This is really a great place to winter if you were trying to get away from the cold.

Charlie,

Did you read my mind??????? We are going to Lost Maples on Saturday. I think we are missing the peak weekends. Unfortunately we can't be here because of work when they are going to be at their best. They are saying that this year should be awesome conditions for the color change.

The RV park has three types of spaces Basic, Premium and River. The monthly charge for Basic is $335.00, Premium $395.00, and River $455.00. You have to pay for electricity for all three types when you are paying the monthly rate. Cable is extra at $25.00 per month.

They have a heated indoor swimming pool, and two other ones, a jacuzzi, steam room, game rooms. Really nice pavillions, planned activities etc.

We will come back here again.

There is another park a little further down the road called "By the River Campround" not quite as fancy (or as large) as the one listed above but a lot quieter and right on the river - nice wide pull through slots if you don't want to be right up against the river.

We stayed here 3 weeks last November at Thanksgiving time.

Charlie,

We made the entire 4.6 East loop this Saturday. We didn't realize that it was so steep until we got to the sign that said WARNING next 1.5 steep climb and very strenous. The sign didn't lie!!

It was well worth it as the leaves are just beautiful. I think we were about a week or maybe 10 days to early. We still had a great time, but came home exhausted.

Rocky,

We looked at the campground that you mentioned. We saw the pull throughs, and yes it would be quiet, but I wouldn't want to be on total grass if it rained a bunch. I would be worried that you might get stuck.

It poured while we were there last year and we didn't get stuck - the ground is very hard.
We could see where the water had flowed under the Monty during the night.
