Hey is "The Spot" restaurant still open in Port Aransas? I used to take a bird out of there for offshore platforms. That was a great place to eat!

James, we'll be there Wednesday. I have been following happenings around Mustang Island and Port A since the hurricane. I recall it was damaged, as was much of that area, since that particular hurricane made landfall right there in Port A and the Rockport area just slightly north as well as North Padre Island.
We had owned a condo on N Padre, we sold it in 2016, but it did survive relatively unscathed, since it was built to the rigorous new standards that Texas adopted in 1994, capable of handling a Cat 3 storm with no boarding up etc. It appears to have worked as Harvey was Cat 4 on landfall.
We'll be out cruising the Island on Thursday, I'll let you know about The Spot.
Mark

James,
Are you talking about Frankie's Seafood Spot on S. Alister Street?
It does not appear to be open yet. There is still a lot of recovery underway here and some places that have been just razed and left with a foundation.
Found a link to local paper showing some places open or closed, as of Feb 28th. Some will be open by next week when spring break begins, we'll be out on the 9th to avoid the mayhem.
