We are not in North TX, but we used to be active in the North Texas Camping Association. We were all pop-up campers who met on the internet in 1999 and decided to have the first camp out at Whitney State Park in January 2000. We would have 4-5 outings per year with 10-20 attendees. We all had kids at home and it was fun. We got into a fifth wheel in 2005. The group is very active. I still get email notices. I am working full time and it’s tough to get away. The group is not pop-ups so much anymore…lots of all types of RVs. I think one guy from the original group owns a Montana and contributes to this forum now. If you don’t get much interest from Texas Montana owners - you might look that group up.
