Fresh Water

We don't carry fresh water and I have never connected to the tank fill inlet. I noticed water dripping from the tank air vent. Then I check the tank sensor and it showed full. Also, now when I turn the water pump on with the city water 'in' closed, I get steady water. Obviously water is leaking by the 'tank-fill' selector valve and filling the fresh water tank.

Has anyone fixed this, if so, how?

We really don't want to tow water around when we always camp with full hook-ups.

TIA

More likely the water is leaking past the check valve built into the water pump. There could be some debris in the lines that have gotten into the check valve not allowing it to seal properly. You might run a lot of water through the pump to try to clean the debris out. If that doesn’t work, you might remove the pump to get to the check valve or just replace the pump. I had the problem some years ago and installed an in-line check valve in the line on the pressure side of the pump and that solved the problem.

I have replaced 2 pumps on different rigs with the same issue. Common problem.
