1 battery or 2?
I have a 3855BR en route to the dealer. I do not plan on dry camping. The longest the camper will sit unplugged without the truck running is 14 hours. With the residential refrigerator should I have the dealer set up the camper with one or 2 batteries?

Welcome to the forum!
Assuming you want the fridge to run for those 14 hours, you will want 2 batteries.

I went with 2 Batteries. Some time the campground loose power and a second battery give a little backup.
My dealer charged $175,00 for 2nd Interstate battery & battery box,

I think your dealer over charged you for your batteries.

Yes for what I paid for the Camper they should have installed it for free. But I did not ask for until after I made my deal.

When I got my 2611RL in 2015, the dealer told me it was "supposed" to come with 2 batteries!
Now, depending on the quality of those batteries, you may be able to go 14 hours. Your Res. fridge/inverter may use more power than your truck can supply. (at least this has been my experience your milage may very...).
I have recently upgraded my batteries to 4 - 6 volt golf cart batteries and am very pleased with them. Traveling during cold weather I am able to run the Fridge/inverter, heater, and a tank warmer.

2 for sure and the bigger the better. You never know how long it will be to the next shore power. Things happen! Mine came with 2-24's but am changing to 2-6v's in the spring.

Being a residential fridge the dealer is suppose to install 2 batteries when you take home and no charge.
I found out the hard way after the one battery they installed went dead after 10 months. They install the cheapest battery which is junk when the cost is on them. When as a customer you ask for a battery and the cost is on you they rake you over the coals and rip you off.Thats right from the cows mouth because I was the cow.
I replaced the junk issue they supplied for free which should ave been 2 batteries for my residential fridge.
Didn’t much matter though because junk x2 still equals junk!
I replaced with 2 Trojan 6volt top of the line batteries. Now I have peace of mind knowing that I will be good for minimum 5 to 7 yrs possibly longer.
My dealer was not customer friendly and didn’t have my back.Do your homework on the forums and get the real deal from actual customer experience.

In addition to getting 2 good batteries, you will want to make sure the ice maker is turned OFF!
This alone extended my battery/fridge cooling time a bunch.

Two batteries with or without a residential refrig. You will want that second battery for the level-up and slide system anyway.
