License plate fell off!

2020 334BH here. Did a walk around the rig one morning one the road and noticed that the license plate was gone! I thought that someone might have taken it but the mount was gone too. I looked back at a picture I had and it looks like the plate holder was part of the left tailight assy. and part of it had snapped off. Anyone else had this? Solution? other than putting another bracket on and trying to figure out how to light the new bracket?

That happened on my first travel trailer. It was a Dutchmen Sport (Thus my user name)....

The tail light had 2 plastic tabs that hung down, and that's where the license plate attached. Both tabs broke off and yes, like you, I lost my license plate.

DMV got me a new plate, which cost, of course, but at least it wasn't difficult. As far as the license plate holder, I considered all kinds of options, and the only real solution was to simply purchase another tail light with the tabs on it, with the light for the license plate.

I used my purchasing dealership, and they had replacement lights, identical. I think back then, every trailer on the road used the same identical one.

My current camper (Montana), has one very similar to the one from a couple decades ago. They haven't changed that much. Those little tabs seem like they are not that strong, made of plastic, and I wonder about them being brittle and breaking. So, I do check mine often.

Again, the only way to fix it, is to replace the entire light with a new one. Check with your dealership parts department. That's what they are there for.
