My new to us 2014 Montana 3100 RL shower issue.

The water pump seems a little louder than previous RVs I have owned.

Using the pump when I am taking a shower the hot water seems hotter than with previously RVs I have owned. This is a good thing. When I turn the hot water full on, I have to also turned the cold water full on.

When I turned the shower off at the showerhead to take a Navy type shower and a little bit of water drips out, only cold water comes out. This is without making any adjustment to the shower valves. If I adjust the temperature so that the slowly dripping water is an acceptable temperature, when I turned the shower full on it again is very very hot.

I have not taken a shower with city water; only with the pump running since I do not have city water available at this site. Do you think I have a pump problem?

No that is pretty much how today's pumps work. You can quiet it down by insulating the mounting base (a mouse pad or rubber isolation bolts) and install flexible hoses (Pump Silencing Kit) to the in and out ports.

The cold water when you first open the shutoff valve is normal operation. You learn to avoid the flow until it returns to warm/hot.

Take down your basement walls. Take foam pipe insulation and put it between every pipe and anything the pipe is touching. Also slide it up the shower wall pipes as far as you can. The foam will help stop the reverberating.
