Water heater loose

When I moved our 08 Montana 3400RL to storage, when I got there I saw that the top of the water heater was out about 1/2-3/4" from the side of the trailer. The water heater will rock out at the top. It only appears to be attached to the opening in the wall at the bottom.

From looking at the installation instructions for it (a Suburban 10 gal, gas/elec), it looks like screws are supposed to be put into the top and sides of the cut out in the RV wall, but I looked and can't see any screws holding it into the side of the trailer wall. There are no visible screws along the sides of it. I'm guessing the bottom screws are covered by the door/frame assembly.

Was this thing just held in at the top by the caulk/sealant which is now failed?

Thanks.

Dave,

The heater is not held in by sealant. There should be screws which are hidden by the frame. Once you removed the outer frame with the sealant around it you will see the screws - sounds like you have some that have come loose.
