All water lines are 1/2"pex. I found the receipt for the valves. I was mistaken, they were purchased from camping world (on line). They are item # 74557. They were $7.06 ea. They are called CTS valves.

But still have a wish list:
TPMS
sewer hose carrier (have parts -need to get done)
scare spotlights to LED
carpet replace with wood thru out
Joe, get the TPMS RIGHT NOW! Well worth it. I spent about $250 and easily saved that last year when got a warning while driving. I pulled over and got stopped probably withing 1 minute. By then tire was almost flat and withing 30 seconds more, trailer was resting on the rim.
Without this warning, it would shred the tire and probably ruin at least the fenders on that side. Mega $$$ if that happens.
Oh, I don't have Marabombs either!

going to use shark-bites I like to use the crimp kind my self I don't trust the shark-bites
seen them come apart before and flood a rig.

Got these Rubbermaid slide out drawers at HD. Work great but you have to make a lock system to keep them closed while traveling. We just stick some chopsticks into the baskets vertically and that locks them. Notice the canned sliced potato's on the right?

neccessary add-ons

I have traded in my Alpha Gold 30 RL (2000). Well built, roomy, with a great layout (getting tired) for a 2012 Monty 295RKD. I have been putting in things I think it was lacking to make it our own. Bathroom. Added a second Medicine cabinet with Trifold mirrors behind the Toilet. I took the wood behind the range and put in 7 slots for kitchen knives and also added a small spice rack. The stair grip handle on mine looked like it was pulled out one to many times. I took a piece of laminate flooring to use as a backing plate. Attached the handle to it, then attached the plate to the wall in multiple places to make it very firm. I will add things to make it my "home away from home". Wife wanted Washer/ Dryer combo. Happy Wife, Happy Life. I have been RVing since 87.

Hey LoneOak I put a Schlage Keyless Entry Lock on the front door of our new home but I did not think they could be mounted to the thinner Camper doors? What brand did you install?
Thanks

Bauer NE, available at RV Upgrades.com for $169.99. We had it installed but I think you could do it yourself. This lock is designed for RVs.

Talking Add-ons

Cabinet shelf adjusters - Gives us an additional shelve in the tall cabinets
Pull bar on screen door - easier to shut
LED button lights - in cargo area by level controller and right inside door to see the light panel to turn on lights
Shut off on waste pipe - no more dripping on hands
Clear flush unit - to help ensure tank is clean
Adding next... EMS 50 amp so no spikes and tire monitoring system... saw another trailer with lots of damage from blown time... scary....

Any other suggestions happily reviewed!

We like the pull bar on the screen door as well. I wish they would make this standard equipment!

we love our Montana the crew did a great job assembling this unit sure there are some minor issue but all in all job well done.
here are our additions

Progressive 50 amp EMS hard wired , like being able to see what the unit is drawing.

Ratchet cargo pole in the in the closet, I felt it need support in the center (preventative maintenance)

replaced red devil central vac with shop vac and remote switch, much more power and 10 time capacity plus I have a shop vac when needed.

table top ice maker a must for cocktails at night.

clear dump hose adapter to see what's flowing

upgraded to "G" tires I feel so much more relaxed towing now

TPMS just to see what going on

water regulator never know what pressure the parks might have

Water softer (wife loves that one)

spring compression rod on shower doors when moving (just don't trust latch that came with the doors)

ZTE-Mobley ATT hotspot love the unit just hoping ATT gets its act together on the plan soon.

looking at replacing hose storage bumper that thin tubing is a joke want to put bike rack back there.

that's it for the first year I'm sure more to come as we get more into it.

The biggest improvement we made was the addition of the Mor Ryde IS system.

The IS and disc brakes are the best improvement for me but the install of 4 steps inside the 5th wheel from the 3 steps was the best improvement for my wife. I have the same model as you Richard and this improvement is great for your knees. I tried to find someone who may have done this at the fall rally but out of luck. My wife was struggling all week so when i got home i found an easy way to do it without doing any conversion to the trailer. This project cost me about 60.00 yet will probably extend my time traveling before having to retire because of my wife's artificial knees.

Texan, I just removed the 2 carpeted steps and built new wood steps. Now there are 3 steps (instead of 2) + the step up to the landing. I also hinged all 3 steps so we can store what will fit under them. I also removed the carpet on the landing back to the bedroom door (already had vinyl flooring under it) so you can enter the camper and use the bathroom without ever stepping on any carpet. To us, camping and carpet do not go together.

Every mod is the most important when we need it:
1. MorRyde Independent Suspension and Disc Brakes
1. Trail Air King Pen (takes out much of the chucking and softens the ride)
1. G614 Tires
2. Electric Slide Awning on Dining slide (shades picnic table)
2. 3 gallon Water Tank bladder allows quietly flushing 3 times while dry camping
2. All LED lighting, (less 12volt juice consumption)
3. Double filter Water Filtration
3. Progressive Surge Protection with remote interior monitor
3. Washer and Dryer
4. Window Awning
4. Exterior Black window sunscreens (detachable)
4. Pantry shelf bracing

We just ordered our 381TH and don't take possession until April but I've already made plans to replace the door lock with a keyless entry like the one we just love in our traded-in class A.
