I use the traveler, had it for 10+ years with Direct TV, works great, no problems. I have no problem with trees here in SW Arizona.

Dish Tailgater

I just purchased a Dish Tailgater and Walley for my 5'er and took it out last weekend for a trial run. Spent hours trying to get a signal and after 2 hours with the Dish help line, even they gave up. I finally figured out that the RG6 cable in my Montana has too long and had too many splitters to work with the pre-wired Satellite connectors. Apparently, the length of the pre-wired cable plus at least two splitters reduced the voltage back to the Dish so that it did not have sufficient voltage left to move the antenna. When I ran the Dish cable straight into the window, it worked great. I plan to install a couple of external covered coax cable ports so that I don't have to run the cable through a window. Once I do that, I suspect it will work just fine and with at least two of these new connection points planned, I should be able to find a good view of the South sky. I also did not know that the Tailgater handle needed to face north or it would not align to the South for viewing the satellites.
