Yes, Bob, that glass bowl sink with high faucet is original on the 2013 and early 2014 HC.
While we haven't had a problem yet, suspect that you will need to get physical. The stopper rotates pretty hard in the drain tube on ours and always has. Someone has possibly jammed yours down pretty hard, causing the O-ring to 'lock' against the drain pipe. Instead of a caustic, try some silicone spray and douse that stopper well and let it set for a few minutes. Then, using a piece of wood dowel rod, probably 1/2" diameter by about 12" long and a small hammer, tap the stopper lightly on one side. Ours is positioned with the pivot points front to back, yours - dunno. Just use care.
If the above fails, you might have to pull the entire drain tube, with the fastening nut under the countertop, and get even more physical - but wouldn't get that strong with it while inside that glass sink.
