3475RL help

We just bought a 2006 3475RL that has a washer and dryer in it. Is it common with this make for the washer to dump into the black tank?

Some dump to the black. Some to the grey. Some direct to the sewer outlet. No obvious rhyme or reason as to which ones dump where.

Definitely a good idea to find out for sure so that you can plan for it. Ours goes to grey. Once after my wife ran two loads of laundry, then took a shower, and when I took my shower I found myself standing in 2 inches of water.

I think whoever installs the washer finds the easiest route/tank to plumb to - black, galley, bath. For us when DW has wash day I open the gray tank (where it's plumbed) and leave it open until laundry is done. I try to sync that with the timeline we have for dumping the black tank so I still have plenty of "flush" water.

Plumbed to the black tank I'm thinking I wouldn't want black water backing up somewhere when the washer was draining. Leaving the black tank drain open might work if you drained the tank first then rinsed it before running the washer.....and didn't use the commode until the washer was done.

I still haven't taken the time to find out where ours is plumbed. On the fence about adding stackables right now. I had read an article somewhere written by someone who had their washer plumbed to the black tank and they weren't happy about it at first. Then they realized that it actually helped to keep their tank clean since all that soapy water was flushed through the black tank regularly and even their sensors worked.
I was kinda hoping that was the case with ours as well. Maybe I'll find out next week during our trip.

Our 2010 2955RL was one of those plumbed directly into the discharge pipe, so no doing laundry without full hookups unless we wanted a flood.
