Question on Slide Controls

I'm hoping that someone can help explain the additional hydraulic room controls that are located in the landing gear/level control compartment on my (new to me) 3710FL.
In what situation are these to be used? Is this in the event of an electrical malfunction? Do they operate the hydraulic solenoids directly?

I'm hoping to get a better understanding prior to ever needing to use them.

Thanks, Dave

They are shut off valves so you can open one hydraulic slide at a time instead of all at once.

I use them to open one side without opening the other. I have opposing hydraulic slides in the kitchen and dining room. When parked in front of my house, I cannot open the kitchen side as it would open into the road way. I can turn off the ODS (Opposite Door Side) switch, and then use the normal slide switch to open only the door side dinning room slide.

Ok, thanks for the explanation that totally makes sense.
When you say "turn off the switch" are you turning that clockwise or counterclockwise for off? (I haven't even tried to move them yet) then do you use the interior electric switch to operate and whichever slide is off is overridden?
I can see this being a useful function. When we brought the unit home for the first time, with both the kitchen slides in, we were unable to check and verify that the cabinet doors on the fixed wall were secure. The two kitchen slides are on the same switch and the dinette slide is the last actuate. Long story short, the slide caught on one of the open doors and ripped it off of the hinge. Easy fix, but my wife was not impressed.

Thanks, Dave

Yes, I turn it clockwise to point to OFF for the ODS slide. Then open slide using the normal rocker switch inside.
I'm sorry to hear about your cabinet door. Happened to a friend of mine so I'm over cautious when opening ours. My pantry door opens during travel so I have to check it before opening.
If I remember correctly on the opposing slides the lightest or one with least resistance will open first. For me thats the dinning slide. YMMV.
