THE MOC LADIES DRIVING SCHOOL SPONSORED BY KEYSTONE FOR 2022!!!

UPDATE: 8/14/22 The class is now full. Please continue to sign up until August 31st to be put on a waiting list. We do have cancellations and you might yet be on the main list.

UPDATE: 8/12/22 We now have all the trucks we need. Thanks to all of you who are letting us use your trucks.

UPDATE: 8/9/22 Ladies I need two more trucks volunteered for the driving school to be a go! If we do not get these trucks the driving school will not happen.
Please consider volunteering your truck.

UPDATE: 8/7/22 The schedule for this class is as follows: Day 1 - Classroom portion of the class will be held in the Montana Room on Monday 9/12/22 between 1:30-3:15 PM. I would try to be in the room at least 15 min prior to start of class. Day 2 - The hands on driving exercise will be held in the High Country Room on Tuesday 9/13/22 between 8:00-1:30 PM. This is very important, you need to be in the High Country Room no later than 7:45 AM for check in.

YOU MUST ATTEND THE CLASSROOM PORTION OF THIS CLASS TO DO THE HANDS ON DRIVING EXERCISE.

Please keep in mind that when the full schedule is posted that tours may be at the same time as the Ladies Driving School so you may want to schedule any tours in the afternoon hours and not morning or on another day if that is an option.

The Ladies Driving School sign up will be on a first to sign up, the first to be put on the list basis.

THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF LADIES WILL BE 48 TOTAL. AFTER THIS AMOUNT HAS SIGNED UP A WAITING LIST WILL BE CREATED AND IF ANYONE CANCELS THE NEXT LADY WILL GO IN THAT PLACE.

THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP WILL BE AUGUST 31ST, 2022!!! AFTER THIS DATE I WILL BE CLOSING THE THREAD!

HUSBANDS, IF YOUR WIFE DOES NOT HAVE HER OWN SIGN IN FOR THE MOC FORUM, PLEASE LET HER KNOW ABOUT THIS CLASS AND READ THIS POST!!!

THIS CLASS IS FOR THE LADIES ONLY!!! NO MEN, BOYS, HUSBANDS, SIGNIFICANT OTHERS IN THE MALE VARIETY ARE ALLOWED TO BE AT THE CLASS. IF ANY OF THE GUYS SHOW UP THEY WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE!!!
WE DO NOT WANT THE LADIES TO FEEL THE PRESSURE OF HAVING THEIR MEN FOLK THERE. WE ALL KNOW THAT IN ANY RELATIONSHIP IT CAN BE VERY INTIMIDATING TO HAVE A SPOUSE WATCHING. SO PLEASE, GENTLEMEN, WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE NOT BE AT THE CLASS!! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR UNDERSTANDING THIS SIMPLE RULE!!

Ladies what would you do if you and your husband were out on a trip somewhere and he became ill, had to be taken by ambulance to a nearby medical facility and you didn't know how to hook up or drive your rig?
You need to be able to, at the very least, get to a safe haven with your rig.
This class is a must for those who need to learn to handle the rig in a safe manner even for just a short trip to a safe haven. Sign up for this class and take a class room safety course, learn on a real-life hands-on rig. You will learn how to hitch & un-hitch, back-up and also drive a rig. Keystone puts this course on for you to get your feet wet and to give you a bit of confidence to learn to handle your rig in a safe way but it will be up to you to practice with your own rigs to become proficient.

LADIES HERE IS WHAT I NEED FROM YOU FOR SIGNING UP FOR THE LADIES DRIVING SCHOOL!!!

1. I need you to POST TO THIS THREAD ONLY to sign up for the class with all of the pertinent information required. (Please do not PM me. PMing is not an excepted way of signing up for this class.) This will ensure where you are in the lineup.

2. Your full given name & your MOC user name. Not your MOC number. Example: Donna Ziegler-Schautzie
DO NOT GIVE ME YOUR MOC NUMBER I NEED YOUR USER NAME!!

3. Include if this is your first time or if this is a second time taking this class. Example: Donna Zielger-2nd time (Please understand & remember that 1st timers will be placed on the list before 2nd timers).

4. KEYSTONE graciously supplies us with 6 beautiful brand new units for us to learn on and the instructors to guide you in the learning process, but we the students need to volunteer our trucks to use with the Keystone units. We need a minimum of 6 trucks and we will need them for the entire class. If you can and are willing to let us use your truck please add the information needed as listed next.

INCLUDE ONLY IF YOU ARE ABLE TO VOLUNTEER THE USE OF YOUR TRUCK AND IF SO PLEASE INCLUDE WHAT KIND OF HITCH YOU HAVE. WE CANNOT USE A HITCH THAT REQUIRES AN ADAPTER PLATE OR A GOOSENECK STYLE HITCH. ONLY A STANDARD HOOK UP TYPE HITCH CAN BE USED.

Example: I can volunteer our Dodge Ram 3500 long bed with 30 thousand lb Ram hitch. (We need to know what king of truck and hitch you are using so as to be able to determine if we can use your truck or not. Not all hitch setups can be used).

FOR ANY OF YOU THAT ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE DRIVING SCHOOL AND HAVE TAKEN THE CLASS IN THE PAST AND WOULD LIKE TO HELP ASSIST I COULD REALLY USE YOUR HELP AS ASSISTANTS. EVEN IF YOU HAVEN'T TAKEN THE CLASS AND WOULD LIKE TO VOLUNTEER PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THAT POSITION. I NEED A MINIMUM OF 6 LADIES TO HELP!!! THANK YOU!!!

ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THE CLASS A SECOND TIME GO AHEAD AND SIGN UP, BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT 1ST TIMERS WILL TAKE PRESENDENCE.

THE LOCATION OF THE LADIES DRIVING SCHOOL IS HELD ON SITE. I WILL UPDATE THIS WITH THE LOCATION OF THE VERBAL PART OF THE CLASS WHEN I RECEIVE THAT INFORMATION.
THE HANDS-ON TRAINING WILL BE IN THE PARKING LOT AT THE FAIR GROUNDS. THIS IS ALL WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF THE CAMPSITES.

I volunteer our truck for the class. 2017 F-350 DRW with PullRite 20K hitch. It’s a standard 5th wheel king pin hitch. It’s a Super Cab. The back two doors are rear-hinged for access to the back seat. Seats 5 comfortably, but with less leg room than the crew cab.
