The Circle Ariel Picture Taking With a Drone

For many years we have had our overhead ariel pictures taken by a lucky MOC member whom gets a trip in an ultralight and takes many photo's and we pick the best ones. Hopefully, that will happen again.

Add to this, a friend of mine has offered to use his drone and take pictures and make us a movie of our get together. My friend is David Bott. With the help of his wife Brenda, they have produced quite a few wonderful videos now posted on youtube and sometimes on the website rvtravel.com. The Botts will be parked just down the road, so they will be close. We have tentatively scheduled this for Friday sometime.

Davids website is http://www.outsideourbubble.com His youtube channel is https://www.youtube.com/user/David350Z/videos Kristi and I met up with the Botts in Moab and went on an ATV trip with them. Look at the video Moab Utah-4X4 with friends and you will see the quality of his videos. I think it will be great to have this kind of a video to share with friends and fellow MOC'ers to show off our desert rally.

Drones are certainly a part of the present and will become even a bigger part of our future. These folks seem to be in the forefront of the trend.

Hey wait a minute. I'm a drone pilot too! I'll be bringing mine. A battle of the drones!

Nothing against the folks and their drone, but a couple of years ago they were parked a few sites down from us. And at that time had a Live Streaming Camera in their front window, which happened to be focused on our friends across the street from them. Needless to say our friends weren't happy having their daily life broadcast live on the internet.
Management asked them to Please turn the camera off while in their park>

Technology run amok!
Consideration of others is a quality to be encouraged.

Amok?

I've have telephoto lenses that can photograph a gnat on an elephant's butt from well over 100 yards. And that started 40 years ago for me.

It is very difficult to formulate an intelligent opinion without making oneself well versed in the entire scope of the issue. Hands on experience trumps book learning in my book!

I was referring to mhs4771 post "And at that time had a Live Streaming Camera in their front window, which happened to be focused on our friends across the street from them. Needless to say our friends weren't happy having their daily life broadcast live on the internet."

My comment was based on the information presented in the post. I would hope that the streaming of the neighbor to the internet was unintended and corrected.
I have more than passing experience with my Nikon with both telephoto and macro photography and though I have the ability to photograph from afar, I would most certainly respect the privacy of others.
I'm not clear what you're saying here Rainer.
