What are you using as a TOW? Buying a 3120 and looking at both GMC 2500 and 3500.

Welcome

Welcome to the group! We are loving our 2020 3120rl. Began full-timing in mid September. Still learning but no real issues with our unit! We had a couple problems, but they were entirely user errors.

We have a 2020 GMC 3500 SRW and 2020 Montana 3120, a great combination, no issues at all.

That's the one my wife and I are interested in. We have never owned an RV before. We want to stay away from a dual rear wheel vehicle. Do you mind saying what you tow it with?

As I mentioned above, it will be a Ram 3500 SRW 6.7 Cummings. I also do not want a dually so I orderer my truck with all the bells and whistles that I wanted and got it to a gvw of 12,300, with a tow of 21000 and factory 20,000lb hitch. More than enough of a truck to tow my 16,300lb max load. Just hope I am correct, I will let ya know in about six more weeks.

You might want to check that payload rating on the truck when it comes in. Mine is a 3500, SRW Laramie with most all bells and whistles - payload right at 4000 - gas. Take away at least 4-500 for the diesel = 35-3600lbs?? Depending on how you load the new trailer a 16,350lb. gvw 5th at 20% pin = 3270. Tight fit with the 250-300lbs. for a family and hitch. The hitch rating and tow rating don't supercede the truck ratings. Just keep an eye on all of them.

Welcome and congrats on your new "camper", or should I say, your new resort on wheels! Looks nice, enjoy! Remember the journey is just as important as the destination. Build in time in your travels to enjoy the journey to your destinations. The unexpected, not planned stops and activities along the way has been our most memorable experiences. In my opinion, I enjoy driving and towing (probably) as much or more than parked and set up for days. Hope your towing experience is just as enjoyable as mine!

Happy Camping! Happy Travels.
