Battery disconnect
I have a 2003 Montana 3655FL. 5th wheel we just picked up today. Does anyone know if this has a battery disconnect and if so, where is it? My Cedar creek has a key type switch battery disconnect in the main cargo compartment, but I can't find one on the Montana. We have no shore power and will be running completely on the batteries until we get the solar installed. I don't want anything draining the battery when we are not using it, so if it doesn't have a battery disconnect, then I will want to install one.
I am sure we are going to have questions as we set this one up, as they all seem to be a bit different.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I had a 2006 and I don't think it had a disconnect key. (That was 6 years ago since we had it, so my memory is a little foggy!!)

The best thing to do is buy a disconnect and wire it in.

Dont think I had one on our 2003. Simple solution, blade disconnect on the neg terminal of the battery.

like they say, just disconnect the negative side of batteries.

I have a 2380 RL and had to add a cut off switch. I got tired of disconnecting the battery wire all the time. There is a carbon dioxide detector that doesn't shut off and will drain the battery.

If you are having solar installed, I would ask them to install a battery disconnect switch.
Just make sure you disconnect the solar panels from the MPPT before you disconnect the battery.

I swathe detector and was wondering how much it would drain, plus any ghost drain. We put a cutoff on my daughter's jeep battery because something keeps draining it

Here is a simple one to put directly on your negative terminal.

I have a 07 GT500 and if iI didn't put a battery tender on it the car would drain the battery. My car doesn't go to sleep. I would think the jeep is the same depending on the year.

You'll want to install one. Often the factory switches don't disconnect everything.

I use a battery tender on my 07 GT/CS too. Works great...as long as I disconnect it!
