Linoleum flooring
We purchased a 2019 Montana 3121RL recently. When turning on the heat this weekend, we noticed that the linoleum floor covering was blowing up. It doesn't appear to be glued down. Has anyone else experienced this? Your feedback would be appreciated.

Sounds to me as if a a furnace vent is covered up by the flooring. It is becoming common for these floors to be glued only around the edges and openings.

This type of flooring just doesn’t get glued down anymore. I think you need to find out what is blowing the floor up. Something isn’t right.

I would remove each floor register and see if the flooring is cut correctly around the hole in the floor. My guess is that the flooring is hanging over and bent down into the holes for the floor registers somewhere.

My money is on a covered floor vent. Your floor plan is similar to ours, we have a register at both ends of the island, and one in front of the sofa.

Our 2019 3121 is closed up for the winter, but I'm 99% certain that we only have to vents in the living area, one on each end of the island. I don't remember having an additional one in front of the sofa. We also have a vent in the bedroom and one (round) in the bathroom. We haven't had any problem with the linoleum.

I purchased a 2018 3721RL in late Sept. I don't have the same issues but it is unreal how sloppy they installed the lenoleum. Back pupkers and cuts around doors in the bathroom area. Three different spots had large glue spots wihch looked like someone stepped in glue then stepped on the linoleum while installing. What a mess to get off. Overall a totall sloppy job installing.

Lmao, and I thought it was just a my RV issue. Yep 2019 3931FB going in for its first warranty issues tomorrow. My does it at both end of the Island.. While I believe structurally and design wise, our 5th is great??? Quality control issues are horrible... I understand what it is but I’ve had less issues in my 2011 Keystone TT. Very disappointed in my fix it list and very concerned for the future.

Hey ya Jonny G, we (DW & I) purchased (ordered) a 2019 3120RL back in March of 2018 and picked up in May 2018. Our first real road trip was over Christmas/New Years for Fort Worth to San Diego. I’ve noticed as well that the linoleum is not secured as it was in our 2014 341BHS Bullet. I liked the floor in that unit. Our flooring in the new unit feels a lot more lose, but no bubbling when the furnace is running. The wife thinks that the lose floor helps keep the floor floating and from cracking with increased travel of the unit over the years. Well, she’s not the Engineer I am, but she could be right. I replaced our heat vents (2 in the living space opposite ends of the island -1 in the bed room) with louvered vents (Amazon or Lowe’s) and did not notice any over lap of the flooring into the vent cut out or opening. I am certain that there are only 2 vents in the living area. My diagnosis is that you most likely have a portion of the heating hose that is pumping air into a section of the floor. I do agree that in a cost savings effort, Keystone is cutting cost for profit (shareholders) and looking at where they can and cannot cut material, labor, and overhead. Too bad for us that the industry is more concerned with profit over their own quality hype. For our unit, I’ve had it back to the dealer once already for mfg repairs and have gone over the unit top to bottom, front to rear fixing quality issues. The unit will have to go back as the leveling system is not properly leveling the unit. All in all, we are happy with the product, just wish issues like yours and ours could be corrected before leaving the production line. I work for a major acft production company and if we turned out quality such as the type Keystone is, we’d have US Govenment issues, be going out of business, and be sued for professional negligence... I can see the future now with the reply’s... Yeah, I bought the unit, knew what I was getting into, la, la, la... Do your research and see what the profit to build is... Manufactures can perform better and produce better quality... Don’t think so, read the forums. Anyway, I think your issue is simple enough. Are you still under initial warrantee? If not, I’d volunteer to help you fix the issue.

We took delivery 12/10/18 of our 3931FB. The rig was cold and when the heat came on, the floor in front of the sofa raised with the blowing from the floor heat vent. We believe since the flooring is not glued or sealed around the floor heat vent cutout, the blowing warm air gets under the flooring around the vent cutout and causes it to billow a bit.

We own the very same unit and the floor did the same thing. Take it back fo the dealer, they'll fix it. It's not supposed to do that.

Linoleum Flooring
First the linoleum floor material must be the lowest quality available and second the Keystone installer evidently never attended linoleum floor trying because my unit’s installation is terrible. Bad cuts in corners, bubbles, etc. one day I am going to simply do a new installation of something of better quality. I have saw post where some laid the vinyl plank boards with success.
