Hi all,
New member here. The wfe and I are in the process of purchasing a 2022 Montana 3791RD with the Legacy Edition package. RV is on order by the dealer and should arrive in 2 weeks. We're trading in a 6 year Keystone Sprinter 5th wheel and we're very excited to get the Montana. I'm interested in any input (good or bad) on this model.

Joe, congratulations on the new unit. It is very popular and people have done a lot of neat modifications. Hope you have many fantastic adventures. Be sure to do a good PDI on your new unit. Lots of good suggestions here on the forum if you don’t already have a good PDI list.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new unit. We have a 2019 3791RD. We love the floor plan and I really love the rear "garage" storage. Be careful though, it's very easy to overload with all that space. We've had very few problems with our unit, but the most serious are that the rear axle was mounted incorrectly causing the tires to wear severely. The hanger had to be cut off and welded on in the correct spot. Keystone took care of the repairs. We have a sidewall crack below the door side living room slide that is being repaired a second time right now. The first repair didn't last 10 miles.
All that said, we still really love our 3791RD and I believe you will love yours too.

Montana 3791RD. We are also looking to order the same model and would really be interested in hearing of your experience or anyone that currently have one .
Also, interested to hear what towing vehicle people are using for this RV. I have a 2020 GMC 2500, SRW, Diesel. I think I should be ok. Thoughts??

Like rames14 said. Take your time with your PDI. Look over and operate everything. Water heater, water pump, check for missing items, lights/lens.Check your theater seats for operation. And last but not least don’t sign any paper until all is fixed. We did what I thought was a good PDI and ended up missing items. The worst was a small hole in the shower.

We have a 2017 3791RD we bought brand new. Love the unit. Lots of space. The first year was stressful learning how to fix things. Mostly we had electrical issues. I'd suggest you start at the shore power plug in the back, and tighten every wire connection you see. Even in the fuse box, and the front hydraulic bay. Most of our issues were loose wires. I also had the rear axle 3/4" out of square. I had the unit laser aligned at a truck repair facility. They had to remove the axle ,and bend the axle tube and spring mounts to get it aligned. Now it pulls like a dream. That was $400 out of my pocket. If you could have the dealer send it out to be verified before you pick it up, it will save you a headache and tire wear down the road. On your first few trips, be ready to fix small things, like loose window shades, loose molding, loose water lines. Nothing serious, but have a few hand tools onboard. Once we got thru that, It's been great. You will really like the space and storage. I'd suggest you weigh it every year on a CAT scale. I have found that we get heavier every year. We are still legal, but you just need to watch the weight.

Welcome to the forum from upstate NY snowbirds and congrats on the new rig. That is a nice floorplan that I would seriously consider if we were going newer.
Weight can be an issue when you have lots of storage and I would agree with hitting the Cat scales every so often.
Take your time doing everything from the pdi to backing up, but you know all that being a seasoned 5er.
Enjoy and happy trails.
