In my experience air bags don't do anything for ride, other than make the truck level.
Air ride on the other hand is a lot smoother & the trucks sits at the same height regardless of load.

Absolutely. I towed our trailer a couple of times without air bags and the front end felt light and it bounded more than I was comfortable with. I installed Firestone 5000 bags and what a world of difference. I put in about 70 PSI and all is right in the world. It rides a lot better.

2020 F450. Totally factory. Sits perfectly level with the 5er attached. Rides and pulls great loaded. No bounce, no grunting, this truck is great as is, no mods needed. When Empty it is a bit rough in the back end, but after all, it is a truck.

They said they don't do many GM's mostly Fords & Dodges as the GM's have a better suspension already. They have a F150 with air ride rides pretty good.

Keeping the cost down.

I can't afford all of the fancy air ride so to make my F250 ride better I went with Sulastic Shackles for when I am running empty or a light load. Tried air bags to handle a heavy load. They blewout within 1 1/2 years. No more air bags, I now use Sumosprings for the heavy loads. I Sumosprings do not do anything when I am running light but engage when I drop the Montana on.
