Glenn Campbell

Glenn Campbell just released what will no doubt be the last song he ever does. If you didn’t know, he is entering the middle stages of Alzheimer’s. The song reflects the real pain of this dreadful disease. This will bring a tear to eyes of anyone who has known or does know, someone afflicted with it.

Glen Campbell is one of my very favorites. Alzheimer's killed my Dad. We understand the horrors of that illness.

Glen Campbell is one of my favorites too. You can look up his biography on the net. I did last week.

Such a shame. Hope they find a cure soon.

Rich, you have my sympathies. My mom died from brain cancer, and while it too changed her personality, it was nothing compared to what Alzheimer's does. Like Dick said, I hope they can find a cure for it.

We saw Glen perform at Silver Springs, FL a couple of years ago, when he was doing his final tour after he was diagnosed. This is an insidious disease that turns love into hate in so many families.

It took my Mom and now has my baby sister. She has Downs, and as those folks live longer these days, they are finding that the bad genetics that causes Downs also causes Alzheimers, and many Downs sufferers die form it as well. Our best to all the other families.

Jim & Carol, we were also at Silver Springs for his concert. He was as good as ever.

My Mom also suffers from Alzheimer's. I feel for all those who have dealt with it and am beginning to see the effects of this horrible disease. God bless Glenn Campbell and all those who bring attention to this form of dementia.

Both my parents, who are 92 years old, have Alzheimers. It's very sad
