Inverter

Hello. I donít want to sound sarcastic here but sometimes itís so simple we overlook things. Are your batteries good? Does anything else in your unit function without the main power such as the interior lights? Obviously the inverter wonít invert power if the batteries or connections are bad.

Inverter

You might also see if you have a bad GFCI. Those outlets can go bad.

It could be that the outlet on the inverter just needs to be reset. I have this exact unit and mine trips once in a while, not sure why. On the left side of your unit you should be able to see the voltage and the power switch.

Brian,

The orange/white wire at one end of your inverter is the "ignition" wire. There must be 12v on that wire for your inverter to work. Designed for motorized vehicles. The remote panel will look fine but the unit still won't invert. Put red test lead on that terminal and black to ground (you can usethe negative pole at the other end of the inverter for ground) if you don't read 12+ volts that is the problem.

I replaced my GFI with a standard outlet. It was constantly tripping. Honey don't drop the toaster in the bathtub!

FYI - the OP's inverter has built-in transfer switch and does not have an outlet on the inverter.

Same as mine. The GFI is elsewhere. Mine was in the basement.
