Who turned me in??

Which one of you out there turned me in to GM?? I know I have been looking at the new 08 King Ranch, but somehow GM must have found out. I got in the mail today a Private Thank you coupon for loyal owners only worth $2500.00 off of ANY NEW 2007 Chevy Vehicle. The new LMM Duramax is included in this offer. Did anyone else get this??

Dave,

I don't think you could actually let the "f word" roll off your tongue. You're a GM man, through and through.

Yeah Dave, I got the flyer too.

Maybe GM has a "IN" with President Bush's communications monitoring. Beware of what you say on the Internet.LOL

mac,
Your right, I am a GM guy. I just found it pretty funny that I have been at "the other" dealership and a few days later, I get this Loyalty Coupon in the mail.

John,
Your right, maybe it is the higher powers trying to bring me away from the dark side(_ _ RD). Just kidding... =)

Rick,
Don't worry. I have my lotto ticket; remember??!!

Dave, just suck it up and buy a FORD...they have 0% financing going on again on the super dutys. I'm sure the savings would be more than $2,500

Dave, I agree its very hard to walk away from GM. Made one phone call yesterday and the Chevy dealer made us a offer thats hard to turn down but it doesn't have the LTZ interior, we are going to Ford dealer this week and have them make us a offer. Our Chevy Kodiak is paid for and its worth more than the F-350 King Ranch or the Chevy Silverado, but I imagine Ford will not want to give us a deal like GM will. Everyday is a holiday, what a life...GBY...

Lindy,
Keep me updated on what you end up with. I have a pretty good feeling you are going to end up with the GM 3500 Dually LT3 or LTZ.

Allison,
Ford is not offering any incentives on the new 08 Super Duty. Actually the dealerships around here won't budge off of sticker MSRP, and I will not pay that much for a LDT.

Montana Sky,

We got the same coupon here in Texas.... I threw it in the trash before hubby got to see it. He has a 2005 Chevy that is working just fine.... and it is paid for.

I am also a true blue GM man. Partially brought on by my wife and her side of the family and their GM retirements.

HOWEVER, with that said, I again saw the F-450 Superduty commercial that ran during the race yesterday on Fox. That is one sweet machine. My major draw to it is the height off the ground. It is NOT a 3 step ladder process like the Kodiak 4500. It looked to be about the same height as a F-350. COOL! A 450 truck that is built more like a pickup, not an like an MDT. Wish GM would take note of what Ford is doing.

I know it's just the 2007 models....why are you looking for a 2008? Do you plan on getting the 2008 F450? I wouldn't mine buying one myself but I have less than 10,000 on my 2005.

Randy,
Looks like you found my Sportchassis Freightliner M2! I have been looking at them for the past 7 months or so. Your wife has great taste. =)

Wasn't me, Dave. In my younger years I was a GM guy but moved to Ford and stayed there. So far. That may or may not change with the next truck this summer.

Lindy, the 2008 Ford is brand new. Ford had advance orders for 40,000 of them before the first one was even built. They will be hot sellers until supply catches up with demand. Until then, dealers are going to sell it for full price. If you, or I, don't like it, they'll sell it to the next buyer who walks in the door. Plenty of people are willing to pay full price to get the new one. Same story when Ford made those changes to the 2005 Fords to beef up the suspension, brakes, and frame, raising the bar. I just hope by this summer the prices become more flexible or I'll end up with SOB. Which I might anyhow. We'll have to see. In any case, I plan to buy on the X or Y plan so would at least have that discount.
