Remote control landing gear control
No more running from the truck to the Monte, back to the truck for the Ozz man, no sir. Just too darn lazy to make any more moves like that. A waste of valuable time, I says to myself. So Sue ordered me one for an early Christmas present, and on it went today.
Pretty snazzy.

Ozz
She got an extra sending unit, as she is pretty certain I will either smash it working on something, or, lose it. History is a great teacher.

Ozz, that's not lazy, that's a safety feature. When you lower your landing gear in the wind, you won't be taking a chance on the compartment door swinging around and boinking you on the noggin .

Lonnie, yea, it knocked a Corona out of my hand one time with the 'old' system...it's days were numbered after that.
Mtnhntr, I know what you mean, I have to stay off the Internet sites for the same reason. It's good I can corrupt someone!

The install is super easy, no problem whatsoever for even a novice. Just a wire stripper, wire, end connectors, wire connection crimpers and two screws to mount it.
They have good directions.
Good luck, Ozz

Ozz, that is what I had on my other unit and it does work great. If you ever need a remote I have one that you can have. Put a few dollars back because when we meet in Branson you are going to want what I am putting on mine.

Ozz,
Steve told me to tell you to make sure you aren't sitting on the second remote as you are driving down the pavement...could make it interesting! Sparks would be flyin!

Ozz, it does have a safety built in. It will only go down a little at a time then it stops and you have to release the button and push it again. However they do recommend you turn it off before hitting the road. On my 2005 unit I had to hold the door up with one hand and push the button with the other. What a pain.

Tara, the old adage; Whatever can go wrong...will.
They did make it idiot proof, as Mudchief said....good thing for me.
I resisted getting one for that reason, but I read that it had that safety feature, as well as an on and off rocker switch.
And tell Steve he has a devious mind! But you may know that already.

hahaha - I KNEW you would find that one Ozz! I came across it looking for a remote for the slides and thought of you!
Think it would work on the slides? Might keep me from knocking over the pedestal so often if I could stand outside and watch.

See, this is what makes America great, get together with some computer nerd and design one, put it on the market, and I'll buy it!
It just may work, come to think of it. Call the guy at Zaxis and ask him, he is super nice, took the order from Sue, talked with her about seeing the need for the remote and did something with the idea.

Brad, don't buy just yet. The prototype unit is being shipped to me this week to install and test. Ozz will be ripping his unit out if this thing works.

I am getting a hold of Naylor RV in Kansas City, I will be the first in Line on The """OZZ UNIT""" when he trades it in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The only problem I can think of - By the time he trades I will probably need a freightliner or something like that to pull it. I can see the day when OZZ is going to be sitting at a far away Camp Ground - just installed another gadget. Finds out when it's time to go. The Truck will not MOVE THE MONTY..... Now that is what I call OPTIONED OUT!!!!!! Can't wait for the Spring Branson Get Togeather One whole day will be show and tell at OZZ and Sue's place... Everyone bring your camera and notebook.. ha ha safe travels JOHN
